I started as Tech Support in July last year.

The team events are always fun, or just chilling out in the office after work.

What is your favourite thing about Crucial?

The place, people and culture, and what I get to work on.

What do you like the most about what you do at Crucial?

Trying to find help people fix their problems, trying to simplify the complex at the same time.

What was the most interesting job you had before Crucial?

Residential networker at uni housing, at UTS.

What is your funniest/silliest moment in life?

Trying to walk to the Blue Mountains for camping. I started at 7am and had to walk more than 8kms. We slept in a backyard thinking it was a campsite. It was the most ill-prepared camping trip ever.

What is one thing you couldn’t live without?

I have to work. If I’m not doing something, I’ll probably go nuts.

Which company value resonates most with you?

Making the complex simple.

How would you sum up Crucial in three words?

Get sh*t done.

Meet Robrob

Name: Rob Grant

Role: Technical Support

Interests/Hobbies: Anything with an engine in it: I like my cars and my bikes. Anything with general technology in it.

Favourite Movies/TV shows: MacGyver, Burn Notice, Adventure Time, Game of Thrones

Favourite Food: Pork ribs and pizza. But, I’m not really a food person.

Questions:

Where did you start with Crucial?

Started in April this year in Technical Support.

What is your best memory with Crucial?

Probably, the treasure hunt. Or even when I came in one morning and Ted was faceplanting the beer fridge. I don’t know if someone put him there or if he put himself there.

What is your favourite thing about Crucial?

The people, everyone’s pretty awesome. We’re all so alike, but we’ve all got very diverse skills.

What do you like the most about what you do at Crucial?

Helping people is what I do, it’s what I’ve always done. You can change the whole world, but you can change someone’s world.

What is one thing you couldn’t live without?

These days? The Internet.

If you could have dinner with any fictional or nonfictional character, who would it be and what would you eat?

If I was having dinner I would only care about my food. Doesn’t matter who I’m with.

Which company value resonates most with you?

I think it’d be ‘Don’t screw the customer’ — it’s just so understated, because some other companies just don’t care.

How would you sum up Crucial in three words?

Challenging. Diverse. Fun.
